- Key topic: 2nd meeting devoted to quality of care and reporting measures to monitor quality.
- Principles for Quality Assessment Measures discussed at last meeting:
- Meaningful – relevant to providers and consumers, add value
- Vetted—measures should be previously vetted by recognized source, allowing for possibility that there are unique quality factors for Ct. to consider
- Validated
- Not onerous – accessible & affordable to track and report data
- POS/EHR data preferred; may need to start with claims data
- Discussed possible use of chronic disease registry if no EMR
- Need to identify support for practices to report data
- Individuals with key assignment for recommending possible monitoring and reporting measures
