Kids' Web Pages

Would you like to have your own web page on ConneCT Kids?

If you would like to have your own web page on ConneCT Kids to talk about your favorite Connecticut places, your school, your hobbies, your pets, your artwork or poems, please read through the material below with your parents.

It is the purpose of the ConneCT Kids Guest Kid's Web program to provide school-aged children a means through which they may have an original web page published on the internet. Because of the requirement that all pages submitted for publishing must be about Connecticut, its people, history or culture, or contain a Connecticut theme, it is hoped that through this activity participating children will gain a better insight into Connecticut life. It is also hoped that through this activity, participating children might gain the confidence and some of the skills necessary to communicate through this exciting new medium. All Connecticut children may submit pages for publishing under the following rules.

  1. All works submitted for display will be considered in the public domain and must be freely available for children to download and distribute.
  2. All pages submitted MUST be accompanied by a Parent Release Form.
  3. All pages submitted MUST be related to one of the following topics: Connecticut history, Connecticut government, Connecticut art and culture, Connecticut agriculture, Connecticut wildlife, natural resources or environment, Connecticut activities, places of special interest or fun spots, Connecticut schools or education, original artwork or writing, hobbies or sports.
  4. The ConneCT Kids Committee reserves the right to decide which works are appropriate for display and to reject any works that might not be suitable for showing through a state government sponsored activity.
  5. The ConneCT Kids Committee reserves the right to decide which works will be displayed in any particular month without regard to order received.
  6. While submissions will be archived and available for viewing after the one month featured period, children or parents may submit a written request to have their pages removed from the archive at any time.

Children do not have to provide internet ready works, but may do so if they have the appropriate equipment, software and publishing skills. The ConneCT Kids Committee will provide any necessary assistance to convert submitted works to a format suitable for internet publication. We will accept graphics files, word processing documents, photographs and original documents. Video clips or audio files cannot be accepted at this time.
