Creya, Connecticut History Detective
Creya, a 10 year-old student at Saint Bernard's School, found some new Famous Connecticut Firsts.
The Graham Cracker - Sylvester Graham, inventor of the Graham Cracker, was born in West Suffield Connecticut in 1794. In the 1830's, he moved to Northhampton, Massachusetts, where he developed Graham Flour, a whole-wheat flour. Sylvester Graham was a reformer and natural food advocate.

The Wiffle Ball - The Wiffle ball was invented in 1952 by David N. Mullany of Shelton Connecticut . You can learn more about the invention and the game at the Wiffle Ball website.
