 A wee bit o' Scotland will be at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville CT  on Sunday, June 25, 2017, from 8am to 5pm.

 The Round Hill Highland Games is an annual festival celebrating Scottish heritage and culture,  holding traditional professional and amateur highland game competitions.  Round Hill Highland Games are the 3rd oldest Games in the United States,  and this year marks our 93rd Highland Games and Scotsfest
 where both those of Scottish descent and Scots-at-heart are welcome!

 Enjoy traditional piping and drumming competitions, pipe major competitions,  pipe band competitions, Scottish highland and country dancing, heavy athletic competitions,  races and amateur sports for the whole family, children’s stories, games & crafts,  Scottish entertainment and folk music, and fabulous Scottish food & drink and merchandise vendors.


 This year's Games are featuring an Amateur Haggis Toss contest, 5k Race, Kilted Mile Race,  whisky tasting, maple syrup tasting, haggis tasting,  and a surprise visit by Merida from Disney's Brave.  Camp overnight on Saturday, June 24, at the park and enjoy our ceilidh!


Children dressed as a character from the Disney movie BRAVE are admitted for FREE!  All active duty members of the US Armed Forces and military veterans with proper identification  are admitted for FREE with up to 5 members of your immediate family. Thank you for your service!  Guests driving a British automobile or motorcycle are admitted for FREE  with 1 additional guest.

Children’s Events (Ages 5 to 14) Sign-up for all events at Secretary's Tent or Children's Tent

Children's Stone Put -  Athletic Field at 12:00 noon -  Learn to put a stone for distance with the Round Hill heavyweight athletes!
Dash to Dundee (50 yard run) - Cener Field at 12:30 pm,  Races grouped on Field by ages for boys and girls: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14.  Trophies awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place.  Medals to All Participants who try their best!
Bannockburn Clog Race (Parent/Child Race) - Begins at 1:30pm on Center Field. 1 Child (Age 5-14) + 1 Adult (15+) per set of clogs. Medals awarded for 1st & 2nd place
William Wallace Highland Charge -  Rush into battle on Center Field yelling Braveheart's "Freedom" war cry!  Races grouped by ages
Children's Caber Toss - Center Field 3:00pm.  Try your hand at turning a caber to 12:00 o'clock!
Tug-o-War -  Center Field at 3:45pm.  Teams are formed on field based on ages - 7-a-side, single elimination ladder.  Individual trophies awarded for 1st & 2nd place teams.  Parent volunteers appreciated to help “coach” and encourage a team

 Poltalloch's Picture Place -  Take your picture as: Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster, Bonnie Prince Charlie, Highland Sword Dancer, Great Highland Bagpiper, Mary, Queen of Scots.

Passport to Scotland - Gather clan stamps and complete the puzzles about Scottish heritage to win a prize!  Passport booklets and prizes can be obtained at the Children’s Tent
King Malcolm's Crafts - $1 each - Decorate a Crown or Shield, Sand Art, Charm Bracelets, Build a Castle, and more!

Round Hill Highland Games is a charitable organization that depends upon your support to hold highland games competition and promote Scottish heritage. The Round Hill Highland Games takes its name from the original location of the Games in Greenwich CT, at the estate of Charles A. Moore on Round Hill Road. Mr. Moore allowed his many Scottish-born workers to hold a family Fourth of June picnic on the vast grounds of his estate.
