FREEZIN’ FOR A REASON
Penguin Plunge is the largest grassroots fundraiser to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut.  Plungers raise funds to Plunge into the chilly waters of Connecticut.  Your participation provides funding to support over 13,000 athletes and unified partners who participate in Special Olympics Connecticut’s year-round training and competition in 27 sports.

Costumes are encouraged – we even give an award for the best costumes! Many Plungers form teams to band together and share in this one-of-a-kind experience.  To join in on the fun, Plungers need to raise a minimum of $100.  In addition to the awards for top fundraisers and best costumes, Penguins receive incentive prizes for their fundraising efforts.

Take the Plunge to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut!

Requirements: All participants must raise $100 to participate. All Penguins must be at least 8 years old on the day of the Plunge to participate.

Too Chicken to Plunge? Too chicken to plunge? That’s ok! You can still be a part of the fun. Many of our plunges have a “Chicken Coop”. Raise pledges and receive incentives just like a Penguin except no going into the icy water. You’ll get to hang out in the “Chicken Coop” staying warm (and dry!) while you cheer on the brave Penguins! It’s a fun way to still be a part of the team.
