Families Learn & Play with History
Saturday, February 4, 2017, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

{Children and Adults Learn}

Have you wanted to visit but can’t wait until the Windsor Historical Society open at 11 AM? Bring the whole crew on Saturday, February 4, 2017 and from 9 – 11 a.m., and enjoy the Windsor history galleries and Hands-on-History Learning Center at your own pace.

{Girl with Cow}

Meet other families, try out the train table, build something spectacular with Legos, “milk” Flavia the cow, don colonial costumes and “cook” up a feast! Perfect for even the youngest learners (crawling is encouraged) with Bob Bell making a special balloon animal for participants at 10 a.m. And it’s FREE

Our museum and library are fully accessible.  The Strong-Howard and Chaffee Houses have steps and raised thresholds.

The Windsor Historical Society aims to inspire public awareness and appreciation of the diverse people, places, and events that contribute to Windsor’s evolving history.  We preserve and interpret Windsor’s historical record through active collecting, research, exhibitions, programs, and communications in the belief that an understanding of history can provide individuals and communities with connections to the past, a sense of belonging in the present, and responsibility for the future.
