Wednesday July 25th 5:00PM - 9:00PM

The Bindlestiff Family Cirkus travels the world, bringing its unique hybrid of variety arts – Circus, Vaudeville, Wild West Shows and Sideshow to audiences across America. Cirkus is spelled with a "k" for a reason: it pays tribute to the rich heritage of European one-ring spectacle and weaves the threads of American popular entertainments into a rich tapestry and a new tradition. It's not your Grandpa's circus!

The Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts is dedicated to providing FREE and abundant access to the
performing arts, presenting a dynamic and diverse constellation of established and emerging artists, and preserving a beautiful outdoor space where people of all ages and backgrounds are always welcome to enjoy the arts, enjoy nature, and enjoy each other.

Founded in 1973, The Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts produces a unique open-air Summer festival
located along the banks of the Saugatuck River in downtown Westport. The Summer Season runs over the
course of 10 weeks, from late June through August, lighting up Fairfield County with almost 60 nights of FREE
entertainment. Each summer, the Pavilion welcomes over 50,000 patrons from Fairfield County, over 30
neighboring communities and the Tri-State area. To date, the Pavilion has welcomed more than one million people – and counting.

The Pavilion presents a vibrant range of music, featuring established and award-winning artists as well as emerging ones, from local bands to national and international acts, plus a mix of other performing arts including dance, comedy and more. Every summer also includes the acclaimed Children’s Series on Wednesdays; and for movers and shakers, there’s RiverSwing – an annual series of six or more evenings sprinkled throughout the season on which the Pavilion offers free pre-concert dance lessons led by professionals in the style of the music about to be enjoyed. During the course of the year, the Levitt Pavilion produces a handful of ticketed events to help underwrite the cost of the free programming.

Publically enjoyed and privately funded, the Pavilion has been an anchor institution in the community for 38 years and counting and is supported through the generosity of corporate, foundation, and individual donations as well as services and support from the Town of Westport, Westport Parks & Recreation, and the State, including the Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism. The Friends of the Levitt Pavilion, Inc., d/b/a The Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts, is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.

From I-95

Coming from north of Westport on I-95, take exit 18. Continue straight on the sherwood connector until Post Road east. At the stop light, take a left onto Post Road east and continue straight until Bay St (approx. after 5 traffic lights). Take a left onto Bay St. and continue until the end of the road and take a right. The police station should be on your left, take a left into the second police parking lot and continue straight into the back of the Westport Public Library. Behind the back parking lot is the Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts. Parking is also available in the front of the library.

Coming from south of Westport on I-95, take exit 17. Take a left onto Saugatuck Ave and continue until the first four-way stop light, where Saugatuck Ave intersects Post Road. Take a right onto Post Road East and cross the bridge. Take the first right off the bridge and you should see the front parking of the Westport Public Library on your right. This is a typical place to park, and then you can take the riverwalk pathway (right side of the library- when facing the library) up to the Levitt Pavilion park. Otherwise, instead of taking a right into the front of the Westport Public Library, continue straight past the stop sign, and take a right into the police parking lot. Continue straight to the back of the Westport Public Library and there is parking right in front of the Pavilion.
