Please join us for a night of great food, drinks, music and fun at the Flatbread Company in Canton, CT!  15% of all food purchases (eat-in and take-out) and 100% of all proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the Smith-Magenis Research Foundation. In addition, Olde Burnside Brewing Company is donating 100% of all their signature Ten Penny beer purchases to us! Thank you Flatbread and Olde Burnside!

Please consider coming to the event if you live within a reasonable distance from Canton, CT and can spare a few hours on a Tuesday night! Invite all your friends!
15% of all food receipts will go to SMS research and there will be a fairly impressive silent auction, great music and even better people.  You neednít be there for the whole time (5:30-9) and it will be a family friendly event.  (Damian and our baby Calvin will most likely be there.)
If you canít attend, you can still help our cause by donating to the non-profit SMS Research Foundation (the donate button is down and to the right.)  And if you or someone you know well enough to speak for can donate goods or services (creativity counts!) please let me know.
We look forward to seeing many of you at the event!
The Smith-Magenis Research Foundation
Our mission is to support research to improve the knowledge and understanding of SMS so that viable therapeutic options can be developed in order to improve the quality of life of those with SMS.  The Smith Magenis Research Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in June 2010.
The SMS Research Foundation was founded by Missy Longman and Jennifer Iannuzzi.  The two met in 2007 shortly after their young daughters were diagnosed with this rare syndrome.
Their relationship grew while spending countless hours navigating their way through the unknown world of SMS.  Individually they ventured out into their communities speaking to physicians, therapists, behaviorists and school personnel who knew little to nothing about Smith-Magenis Syndrome.  And while some key research discoveries had been made with regards to the SMS phenotype, there were still too many questions left unanswered, primarily because SMS research is vastly underfunded.
The Smith-Magenis Research Foundation is the vision of two families who are passionate about finding those missing answers with the belief that the prognosis of Smith-Magenis Syndrome can be redefined so that every individual with SMS can experience an improved quality of life.
