The 14th annual Shoreline Jewish Festival will take place Sunday, July 14 from 12-5 PM on the Guilford Green. The festival features various styles of Jewish music, traditional and Israeli fair food (all kosher), an art and book sale, and children’s crafts and activities. This year’s musical lineup features Yoni Stokar & The Sixth Street Band, Yiddishkeit Klezmer Ensemble and White Shabbos. For families with children, Talking Hands Theater will present storytelling with puppets.

"The festival celebrates Jewish life and living," explains Rabbi Yossi Yaffe, director of Chabad of the Shoreline and coordinator of the event. "The music, the food, the entertainment--people of all ages and backgrounds enjoy it and have come to regard it as a Shoreline summer tradition."

{Children Dancing}

Yoni Stokar & the Sixth Street Band blends traditional Jewish melodies with jam-band improvisation. Soul meets soulful in this high-energy experience! Yiddishkeit Klezmer Ensemble brings to life the old-world klezmer sound of clarinet, accordion, fiddle, trombone and vocals. Their melodies—both traditional and original melodies—dance right into the heart and soul of the audience. White Shabbos creates a unique combination of Jewish/biblical lyrics with bluegrass, rockabilly music. For the young—and the young at heart—White Shabbos leads an interactive sing-along show that is guaranteed to get everyone up on their feet and dancing. Talking Hands Theater brings Biblical adventures, Jewish folk tales and Chasidic stories to life. Anna Sobel and her handmade puppets entertain children by engaging their minds, imaginations and senses of humor.
