Plan Language Summary of Ethics Laws for Current and Prospective State Contractors
The Office of State Ethics believes that the purpose of the state ethics laws as they apply to state contracts is to provide all qualified parties with an equal opportunity to contract with the State and to encourage an open contracting process. Pursuant to recent legislation, the Commission has issued a summary of the ethics laws for current and prospective state contractors, including consultants, vendors and all other independent contractors with the State of Connecticut , in order to ensure that everyone is well-informed about the applicable ethics laws, and knows where to turn if a question arises. The Commission strongly encourages and invites anyone with questions about the law to contact the Commissionís staff at (860) 566-4472 for a speedy, thorough and binding response.
