The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that preliminary work including lane closures is scheduled to start June 12, 2018, weather dependent, for the installation of traffic control signals. Work will be performed at various intersections in Newington, Bloomfield, East Hartford, Manchester, Rocky Hill, Somers, Vernon, Windsor and Windsor Locks.

The project consists of replacing the existing traffic signals with new mast arms or span poles and the associated items such as trenching, backfilling, new conduits, video detection and hand holes to complete the new installations.

Lane closures on ramps, turning roadways, and other project roadways may occur Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily, Saturday and Sunday between 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m.
