NEWINGTON, Conn.-State Transportation Commissioner Joseph F. Marie announced today that a Loop Sensor Installation project will be performed on I-691 (westbound) between Exits 3 and 4 in Cheshire.  This project is scheduled to begin on or about Tuesday, August 19, 2008.  The rain date would be Wednesday, August 20, 2008.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. (Tuesday evening). 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
