As part of the Obama Administration's strategy under the president's Climate Action Plan, the EPA announced commonsense proposed standards that would reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and volatile organic compounds from the oil and natural gas industry.
The EPA issued two proposals to further reduce emissions of methane-rich gas from municipal solid waste (MSW) landfills as part of the President’s Climate Action Plan – Strategy to Reduce Methane Emissions.
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) Standards
The NHTSA recently strengthened fuel economy standards for cars and light trucks sold in the U.S. These more stringent rules will reduce fuel consumption - lowering U.S. dependence on fossil fuel and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector.
