DEEP: Pollution Prevention 2003 Hospital Environmental Assessment Tool

2003 Hospital Environmental Assessment Tool

During the summer of 2003, interns from the University of New Hampshire assisted hospitals with completing a self-assessment survey tool.  Nine hospitals from Connecticut, eight from New Hampshire and eight from participated in the survey.  All hospitals in Connecticut were invited to participate, however, participation was completely voluntary and individual responses were confidential.

The survey focused on basic environmental performance issues related to RCRA, universal waste, SPCC plans, USTs, EPCRA, CAA, FIFRA, CWA, TSCA, and RWM, along with pollution prevention practices related to waste/water/energy reduction, reuse and recycling. Read the results of the survey.
