Public Informational Meeting for Lobstermen

The DEEP Marine Fisheries Division is holding an informational meeting to gather input from lobstermen and other interested members of the public on the development of Draft Addendum XXV to the American Lobster Fishery Management Plan. In response to the southern New England stock decline, this addendum contemplates management approaches to increase egg production by 20 to 60%. The approaches being considered include gauge size changes, trap reductions, closed seasons, trip limits and standardizing regulations. A link to the draft addendum is below:
