Black Sea Bass Quota Status: As of September 9, 2011: 89% of the annual quota has been harvested. Current black sea bass management measures provide that once 90% of the commercial quota is harvested, the possession limit shall be 0 pounds until November 1 when the fishery will reopen at 200 pounds in the trawl and fish pot fisheries and 50 pounds in the commercial hook, pound net, scallop dredge and gill net fisheries.
