Notice to Commercial Summer Flounder Fishermen

During the period when the commercial trip limit for summer flounder is 1,500, pounds, vessels are limited to two trips per week. For the purposes of this regulation, a week begins Sunday morning at 0000 hours and ends the following Saturday at 2400 hours. Prior to departing on any trip which will return on or after January 22 and on which summer flounder could be possessed, fishermen must notify DEP Environmental Police Dispatch of:

Vessel name

Captains Name

Departure date and time

Estimated return date and time

Connecticut port of landing

There are two methods you can use to notify the dispatch office. The first is to call 860.424.3503, the other is to fax the information to 860.424.4069.
