ATTENDANCE: Joyce Baker, Patti Carrin, Kathryn duPree, Armand Legault, Nancy Taylor, and Patty Vidal.
ABSENT:  Bill Broadbridge, Richard Burney, Leo Germain and Jamie Graham,
DD STAFF: Mary Ann Langton
Ms. Taylor began the meeting at 2:00 p.m.  Mr. Legault made a motion to approve the past minutes from the committee meetings.  Ms. Vidal seconded. The motion was unanimously approved.
Ms. Taylor and Ms. Langton reported on the Able Lives/Inclusion Works meeting that was held in August 1, 2007.  Ms. Taylor, Ms. Cartland, Ms. Adamczyk and Ms. Langton participated in the meeting with people from CPTV.  At the meeting, we discussed the purpose  and re-focused on what we wanted from  Inclusion Works   We talked about making sure that the remainder of Inclusion Works episodes had an ah-ha moment.  The committee members shared their thoughts and disappointments with Inclusion Works.
Ms. Taylor updated members about the report from the University of CT Center for Survey of Research and Analysis. Members were disappointed with the low number of the public who have seen either Able Lives and/or Inclusion Works.
Ms. Langton reported that the committee needed to begin thinking about the annual report for 2007.  This year members felt that various people should write personal stories from the disability community.  Ms. Baker suggested that the stories should have a common theme, and the theme could be on inclusion.  This theme would fits nicely with the work of Able Lives.
Ms. Langton asked if anyone would like to assist Ms. Taylor with proofreading articles for the annual report.  Ms. Langton will email the rest of the committee since no one volunteered to assist with looking at the articles.
The meeting was adjourned at 3:00 p.m.

Respectfully Submitted,
