The History of Community Choices Grand Openings in Connecticut:
** State's 3rd Community Choices (ADRC) Opens in North Central CT on May 3rd, 2010!**
The Aging Services Division, North Central Area Agency on Aging, Independence Unlimited, and Connecticut Community Care, Inc. have teamed up to bring Connecticut a 3rd Aging and Disability Resources Center, known as "Community Choices," to the state as the result of a grant from the Administration on Aging. May 4th marked the official grand opening ceremony.

**Connecticut's 2nd Community Choices (ADRC) Opens in Western CT on May 1st, 2009!**
The Aging Services Division, Western CT Area Agency on Aging, and Independence Northwest have partnered to bring the second ADRC "Community Choices" to the state as the result of a grant from the Administration on Aging. May 12th marked the official grand opening ceremony.

**Connecticut's 1st Community Choices (ADRC) Opens in South Central CT Oct. 1st, 2008!**
The Aging Services Division, Agency on Aging of South Central CT and Center for Disability Rights have partnered to bring the first ADRC, "Community Choices" to the state as the result of a grant from the Administration on Aging. Community Choices is a resource hub of information - a "one-stop shop" or information gateway that offers a range of information from a simple name & phone number to detailed help concerning community services, policies and procedures, and assistance with completing benefits applications. The ADRC's Mission is to assist individuals 18 and older who are seeking services and support, regardless of disability or income, through a coordinated system of information and access.
