Gov. Rell: 2 Hour Delayed Arrival for Non-Critical State Employees

Following a 5 a.m. conference call with state officials, including State Police and DOT, Governor Rell is telling non-critical state employees they may delay their arrivals at work this morning for up to 2 hours.

She strongly urges everyone else to stay off the roads until at least 8 am. Snow is falling at 1 to 2 inches per hour and DOT trucks, which have been out all night, are having difficulty staying ahead of the snow. Driving conditions are very difficult at best.

The state's Emergency Operations Center will remain open and Governor Rell will continue to monitor the storm.
