Governor M. Jodi Rell vetoed the following bills of the 2008 Session on the date indicated after the title of the bills:

 

P.A. 08-92

s.H.B. 5105                             AN ACT CONCERNING THE MINIMUM WAGE

This Act passed as amended by House Amendment Schedule A and shall take effect October 1, 2008.  The Governor vetoed the bill on May 27, 2008.

 

 

P.A. 08-113                             AN ACT CONCERNING THE TIP CREDIT

s.S.B. 55                                 The Act passed as amended by House Amendment Schedule A and

shall take effect October 1, 2008.  The Governor vetoed the bill on May 27, 2008.

S.B. 659                                  AN ACT REPLACING EXPEDITED ELIGIBILITY FOR PREGNANT WOMEN WITH PRESUMPTIVE ELIGIBILITY UNDER THE SOCIAL SECURITY ACT AND THE TREATMENT OF TAX REFUNDS UNDER THE ECONOMIC STIMULUS ACT OF 2008

This Act passed as amended by Senate Amendment Schedule A and shall take effect as follows: Section 1 shall take effect January 1, 2008 and section 2 shall take effect upon passage, which is the day the Governor signed the bill. The Governor signed the bill on May 27, 2008.

s.S..B. 179                              AN ACT CONCERNING THE LICENSING AND TRAINING OF PRIVATE DETECTIVES, GUARD SERVICES AND SECURITY PERSONNEL

This Act passed as amended by House Amendment Schedule A and shall take effect October 1, 2008.  The Governor signed the bill on May 27, 2008.

s.S.B. 596                               AN ACT REVISING STATUTES CONCERNING THE TEACHERS’ RETIREMENT SYSTEM TO CONFORM TO THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE

This Act passed and shall take effect upon passage, which is the day the Governor signed the bill.  The Governor signed the bill on May 27, 2008.

s.S.B. 397                               AN ACT CONCERNING THE STATE BUILDING WORKS OF ART ACCOUNT

This Act passed as amended by Senate Amendment Schedule A and shall take effect July 1, 2008.  The Governor signed the bill on May 27, 2008.

S.B. 391                                  AN ACT CONCERNING THE INSURANCE REINVESTMENT ACT

This Act passed and shall take effect October 1, 2008.  The Governor signed the bill on May 27, 2008.

H.B. 5824                                AN ACT CONCERNING THE ACCREDITATION OF SCHOOL READINESS PROGRAMS

This Act passed and shall take effect July 1, 2008.  The Governor signed the bill on May 27, 2008.

s.H.B. 5926                             AN ACT CONCERNING FAMILIES WITH SERVICE NEEDS

This Act passed and shall take effect take effect as follows: Sections 1-5 shall take effect October 1, 2008; and section 6 shall take effect upon passage, which is the day the Governor signed the bill.  The Governor signed the bill on May 27, 2008.

s.H.B. 5708                             AN ACT CONCERNING THE EXPANSION OF THE CARE 4 KIDS PROGRAM

This Act passed as amended by House Amendment Schedule A and shall take effect July 1, 2008.  The Governor signed the bill on May 27, 2008.

s.H.B. 5877                             AN ACT CONCERNING PROBATION

This Act passed as amended by House Amendment Schedules A and B and shall take effect as follows:  Sections 1-4 and 6-7 shall take effect October 1, 2008; and section 5 shall take effect upon passage, which is the day the Governor signed the bill.  The Governor signed the bill on May 27, 2008.
