BILL NOTIFICATION

RELEASE No. 1                                             

JUNE 2005 SPECIAL SESSION

 

Governor M. Jodi Rell signed the following bills of the June 2005 Special Session on the date indicated after the title of the bills:

 

 

P.A. 05-1

H.B. 7501                                AN ACT CONCERNING ENERGY INDEPENDENCE

This Act passed and shall take effect as follows:  Sections 1-6, 8-21, 27, 27, 35 and 37-38 shall take effect upon passage, which is the day the Governor signed the bill; Sections 7,22-23, 25, 32-33 and 36 shall take effect July 1, 2005; Sections 26, 28-31 and 40 shall take effect October 1, 2005; Section 34 shall take effect July 1, 2006 and the bill is silent as to the effective date of Section 39. The Governor signed the bill on July 21, 2005.

S.B. 2004                                AN ACT CONCERNING NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND ACT

                                                This Act passed and shall take effect July 1, 2005. The Governor

                                                signed the bill on July 21, 2005.
