Apply for or file petitions at the Legislation and Elections Administration Division, Secretary of the State's Office, 30 Trinity Street, Hartford, CT 06106 (second floor).

Completed petitions can also be filed at your local town clerk's office or in the Legislation and Elections Administration Division.

Party Enrollment & Unaffiliated Voter Information

Connecticut has two major parties: Republican & Democrat

Connecticut also has numerous minor parties and a 3 month waiting period for switching parties.

Registration Cut-off:
Primaries: up to noon the day before the primary
Elections: up to the 7th day before the election
