  • Need for Chemical Emergency Preparedness (20 minute video)
    This video released by the U.S. Chemical Safety Board (CSB) shows the need for emergency response agencies, companies and communities to work closely together to prepare for chemical accidents.  The video is based on CSB Accident Investigations of chemical accidents over the past ten years.
  • CHEMTREC serves as one of the emergency call centers for information on hazardous materials and dangerous goods.  The SERC Chairman welcomes visitors to view the CHEMTREC website, especially the new video on Anhydrous Ammonia Training Tour as well as other links and information concerning emergency response and preparedness activities.

    he Emergency Response Guidebook, (ERG) was developed by the U.S. DOT, Transport Canada, and the Secretariat of Communications and Transportation of Mexico for use by firefighters, police, and other emergency services personnel who may be the first to arrive at the scene of a transportation incident involving a hazardous material.  The next version of ERG is scheduled for 2012. This video  is a companion guide to the ERG that highlights the most important points from the ERG that can help first responders when they are called to an event involving hazardous materials.
