Welcome to the home page of the State Contracting Standards Board.  Our mission is to ensure that state contracting and procurement processes reflect the highest standards of integrity, are clean and consistent and are conducted in the most efficient manner possible.

The Board operates under the authority of Governor M. Jodi Rell’s Executive Order 7c.  Effective January 1, 2009 Public Act 07-01 (now codified in Connecticut General Statutes 4e-1 to 4e-47 creates an independent statutory board.  The Executive Order Board is meeting regularly to prepare for a smooth transition to the Statutory Board.   Their work includes developing recommendations for a training program, planning and communication, outreach, and data collection.
