Welcome to the website of the Office of Ombudsman for Property Rights. 

We have created this website with you in mind, trying to make it easy to use and informative.  We have set up a special email address, pro.ombud@ct.gov to provide you with direct communication with the Office and the Ombudsman.  We welcome suggestions for improvements to the site and requests for more information. 

The Ombudsman or a member of his staff is available to speak at meetings of professional organizations, civic groups and educational programs. 

Property rights for all is part of the promise made to the citizens of our country in 1776 and again when our federal Constitution was written. Like all of our other constitutional rights, property rights require vigilance on the part of an informed citizenry in order to be protected.  I hope this website in some small way contributes to that purpose.
