The Bethel Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Police Officer. At this time in the process, applicants must be State of Connecticut P.O.S.T.C. certified, have completed their two-year employment requirements, and currently be employed as a full-time police officer in Connecticut. Candidates must be able to pass all P.O.S.T. requirements for lateral transfers. It is anticipated that a testing date for non-certified officers will be scheduled in early 2010. Salary steps above starting ($44,646) are available for Certified Officers. Top salary step by contract is $62,483 as of 07/01/2009.
