Candidates will be required to successfully complete a written examination (the test will be taken from the Connecticut Law Enforcement Officers Field Manual), and oral interview.Candidates must pass the Cooper standards prior to hire (40%). The process also includes a background investigation, polygraph, psychological, and physical examination with drug screen.

DEEP - State Environmental Conservation Police
The State ENCON Police is seeking certified officers or officers/State Troopers that have retired in good standing within the last two (2) years to become Special Conservation Officers. Enfield Police Department

The Town of Enfield is located in north central Connecticut on the border with Massachusetts. The population is approximately 46,000. The Enfield Police Department is a nationally and state accredited agency. There are approximately 99 sworn officers within the department. Uniformed officers work eight hour days with five days on followed by three days off. The following week consists of five on and two off. Officers bid by seniority for one of six shifts per day.
