We have put together some information about the POST Council Accreditation Program, Process, Phases (steps), the latest news, and a listing of Agencies that have been awarded accredited status. We do not have the law enforcement standards on the website however there is a section that describes the make-up of a standard with several examples.
There is a section on this site for Accreditation Managers and Assessors which it contains documents used in the program for self assessment and on-site assessment.
The Connecticut Police Academy has obtained Public Safety Training Academy Accreditation from The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc (CALEA). More information regarding this program can be found on the CALEA website; www.calea.org.
