Policy Development Coordinator

The State of Connecticut’s Office of Policy and Management (OPM) is currently accepting applications for a full-time, forty (40) hour per week, Policy Development Coordinator Position to work with the newly established Municipal Accountability Review Board (MARB). 

MARB, a State board, was established for the purpose of providing technical, financial and other assistance and enhanced accountability for municipalities experiencing various levels of fiscal distress.  This position will assist the MARB to develop and evaluate goals and objectives for distressed municipalities, will identify, monitor and prepare reports on their fiscal conditions, analyze budgets and financial reports, and other related duties.  The MARB is currently working with the cities of Hartford and West Haven. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the finances of distressed municipalities in our state and make recommendations to improve efficiency and sustainability of their operations.

The Office of Policy and Management seeks to fill a Labor Relations Associate vacancy in the Office of Labor Relations (OLR). OLR serves as the Governor's designated representative, through the Secretary of OPM, on collective bargaining matters for the majority of executive branch State employees. Working in OLR will provide an opportunity to assist in union contract negotiations, contract grievances, arbitrations hearings, and other labor and employment issues. As a Labor Relations Associate you will represent the State on many exciting employment matters having a statewide impact.

If you are new to state service you start at the minimum salary. The salary is not negotiable.
