Continuing Education Credits
This course is approved for 4 Connecticut continuing education Life & Health credits. CE credits are only available to Connecticut resident producers. Only producers who have passed the Prerequisite Online Course and have a valid Certificate Number from the Online Course can register for the Partnership classroom training. The only exception to this is if a producer has already been Partnership certified and he or she wishes to take the Partnership Certification Training as a refresher course they need only take the Partnership classroom training and are not required to take the Prerequisite Online Course.

Certification Information
The Partnership Certification Training program is required for producers who wish to market, discuss or sell Connecticut Partnership long-term care insurance. Certification training is available to Accident and Health producers who have a valid license in Connecticut. This is a one-time only certification and is valid as long as your Connecticut producer license is kept in good standing. The certification applies to all current and future insurance companies for which you are appointed and which participate in the Connecticut Partnership. Certification does NOT automatically appoint you to the participating companies. You will need to contact the companies directly for appointment.
At the training, you will receive an original of your training certificate. A second original will be filed with the Insurance Department on your behalf by the Connecticut Partnership. Note: You will need to make copies of your certificate for your general agency and each insurance company participating in the Partnership for which you are appointed.
Registration and Fees
Advance registration is required. To register for an upcoming training session, call the Connecticut Partnership at (860) 418-6318. When registering, you will be asked to provide your:
- Certificate Number verifying completion of the Prerequisite Online Course
- Connecticut Producer License Number (Accident & Health),
- Name (as you want it to appear on your certificate);
- Residence Address;
- Emergency Telephone Number; (cell or home number).
Sorry, we cannot take your registration unless all of the above information is available and complete.
If you are already Partnership certified and wish to take the Partnership Certification Training you do not need to take the Prerequisite Online Course. When you register for the Partnership classroom training you will not need to provide the Certificate Number for the Online Course but we will need to verify you are Partnership certified.
There is a $150.00 nonrefundable fee, which must be paid in advance. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation notice and payment form. Payment should be submitted to the Connecticut Partnership for Long-Term Care, 450 Capitol Avenue, MS#52LTC, Hartford, CT 06106-1308.
Please make checks payable to: Treasurer, State of Connecticut.
If we do not receive payment, we will not issue your certificate and you will not be able to sell Connecticut Partnership long-term care insurance.
Cancellation Policy
To cancel, please call the Connecticut Partnership at (860) 418-6318. Although the training fee is not refundable, you can apply your payment to the next available session as long as you attend within one year of your payment. If you register for a class beyond twelve months from your original payment, you will need to pay the full fee in place at that time.
Check-in: Photo I.D. Required & Time
PHOTO ID: You will not be allowed into the building complex without a driver's license or other state or federal government-issued photo ID. Building security will NOT accept any other form of identification.
The training begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. Please arrive by 8:30 a.m. to allow sufficient time for parking and check-in. Individuals who arrive after 9:00 a.m. may jeopardize their Partnership certification.
Meals and Accommodations
Complimentary refreshments will be available during the class. A cafeteria with hot meals, soups, salad bar and deli counter is available in the Training Center.

Off-Site Parking:
Free, secured parking and shuttle service is available at the Forest Street parking lot. A shuttle bus to take you to the Capitol Avenue Complex will either be waiting or will appear in a few minutes. Shuttle service runs every 15 minutes.
Note: The shuttle bus also serves other State office buildings. Be sure you take shuttle that goes to the Capitol Avenue Complex.
The shuttle will drop you off across the street from 450 Capitol Avenue, Office of Policy and Management (OPM). Please enter 450 Capitol Avenue and check-in at the information desk. Be sure to mention you are here for the Partnership Training. You will be directed to Conference Room C at 470 Capitol Avenue.
Note: There is no parking available at the Capitol Avenue Complex
