Information for Vendors
In order to be a heating system auditor/vendor under the Home Energy Audit Program, you must:
· Have a valid Connecticut State license to perform clean, tune and test services on furnaces and boilers; and
· Submit required vendor registration forms to OPM and receive approval by OPM to participate in the program.
OPM is not liable for payment to any vendor who performs work before said vendor has been officially notified by OPM that said vendor is approved to provide services under the Home Energy Audit Program.
Vendors providing whole house audit services must be approved vendors under the utility-administered Home Energy Solutions (HES) program. Vendors interested in becoming HES vendors should email a request for more information to CL&P at reyesde@nu.com or to United Illuminating at Bob.Bartone@uinet.com

Registered Vendor Materials
At the time services are rendered, registered vendors must fill out one of the following forms, which will correspond to the type of heating system serviced. Forms must be signed and dated at the time of service.
CT&T Oil 001 - clean, tune and test for oil-fired furnaces and boilers
CT&T Propane 001 – clean, tune and test for propane-fired furnaces and boilers
The original CT&T Form must be returned to OPM with an invoice and a copy should be sent back to the customer for his/her records.
Vendors must make referral forms available to customers at the time of service so that customers may take advantage of both energy audit services.
