The Office of the Victim Advocate (OVA), is an independent state agency that monitors and evaluates how victims are treated by the criminal justice system in Connecticut.  Please visit the OVA website for information on victimís rights and investigational reports.

 Reporting-Child-Abuse-and-Neglect

The DCF has a single point of contact statewide for the reporting of suspected child abuse and neglect. The Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline operates 24 hours a day and seven days a week. Anyone who suspects that a child has been abused or neglected or is in danger of abuse or neglect is strongly encouraged to call the Hotline.  The toll free number is 1-800-842-2288.
