Care 4 Kids
If you disagree with a decision made by Care 4 Kids you have the right to a hearing to review the
decision. At the hearing, a hearing officer will review your case and decide if Care 4 Kids made the right decision based on the law.
Starting September 1, 2015, there will be a few changes to Care 4 Kids hearings:
1. Hearings will be held by the Office of Early Childhood, not the Department of Social Services.
2. You can choose to have the hearing in-person at OEC offices in Hartford or over the phone.
Nothing else about the hearing process is expected to change.
