Lieutenant Governor Fedele's monthly cable show "Open Mike" is appearing on public access stations around the state. You can
read the press release announcing the show. Make sure you check your local listings to catch the show--it's not your typical talk show. Check it out.
UPDATE.......the response to "Open Mike" has been both positive and overwhelming! Since each cable access station sets its own schedule, as noted above, we are encouraging people to check their local listings. But in the meantime......drumroll please......here's a sneak peek of the very first show.

End of the 2008 Session
The last week of session is frenetic, confusing, really loud and very busy--legislation being debated, goodbyes being said, last minute projects being discussed--
here are a few photos of some guests that visited the Senate Chamber the last few days of this year's legislative session.
La Festa Della Repubblica Italiana---Italian Republic Day 2008
{Rep. Mioli, Rep. Cafero and LG Fedele}
Wednesday, May 7, 2008 was Italian Republic Day--the 62nd Anniversary of Italy becoming a republic. This was the second annual celebration hosted by Lieutenant Governor Fedele and this year's honorees were State Representative Joseph Mioli and State Representative Larry Cafero.
Enjoy the photos from this beautiful day.
Our Lieutenant Governor is prepared for anything and everything!
{LG in firefighter uniform prepared to go through training}
Lt. Governor Fedele recently participated in Fire Ops 101 with Uniformed Professional Fire Fighters Association at Hartford Fire Training Academy. Here he is all geared up and ready to experience what our professional firefighters do on a daily basis. He went into a burning building, explored a cellar full of smoke and flames and helped conduct a search to rescue victims. It was a great experience and helped him and other participants understand the rigorous training and dangerous situations firefighters face.

To the Moon Alice!
So goes the famous line from the classic show "The Honeymooners." Well, at Columbus Magnet School in Norwalk, several students really did go to the moon in the Young Astronauts Program.
It was their 13th Annual 24 Hour Simulated Space Shuttle Mission. Some students were astronauts aboard the shuttle Terra Nova and other students were part of Mission Control. The shuttle was anchored in the library while Mission Control was based downstairs in the gym. Lt. Governor Fedele was invited to attend "Splashdown" and what a successful splashdown it was. Below are some photos as well as
an article that appeared in the Norwalk Hour.
Great Job Kids--NASA will be looking for you to join them on future missions.
