Daily Contributions
On a daily basis, gift certificates are given to various agencies to support clients with children who need some extra help in obtaining such valuable things as bedding for a good night’s rest. Additional requests are supported daily to organizations in the New England region looking for assistance with fundraisers, furnishings and program support.
Annual Sponsorships
Every year we have a foundation fundraiser supported by our many friends, allowing us to distribute significant funds to the following organizations:
•American Red Cross benefits from Bob's High School Heores Scholarship Program
•American Cancer Society’s Camp Rising Sun for children with cancer.
•Nutmeg Chapter of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Organization providing positive role models to needy youth.
•Family and Children Aid provides safe homes for youth in transition along with necessary support services.
•Connecticut Children’s Medical Center provides pediatric focused medical care.
•Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut provides housing for families with children in the hospital.
We support yearly donations in the forms of a gift certificate donation to a variety of schools, communities and organizations as a fundraiser for their cause. We also promote the March Of Dimes Walk America program by providing spokespeople and commercials on both radio and television. Production and airtime are covered as well.
How to Apply for Assistance
We would like to thank you for taking the time to ask for our possible inclusion as a sponsor of your charitable efforts. With more than 3,000 employees and 43 stores in nine states we receive many requests. To ensure fairness, instead of providing sponsorships to individuals, we provide resources from our charitable foundation directly to non-profit organizations [501 (c) 3] who distribute to individuals. If you are an individual or an agency representing an individual, please read this letter.
To apply for assistance from Bob's Charitable Foundation, please submit a request with specific details on the letterhead of a non-profit organization. For example, if your neighbors suffers a house fire, and you want to help them get replacement bedding for their family, please ask their Red Cross case worker to send a letter directly to us.

Ellsworth Hill Orchard and Berry Farm, home of the world's first
naturally pink pumpkin, harvested in October 2001!
The character of Ellsworth, Connecticut, in many ways reflects the same character it wore in the latter part of the eighteenth century when the Ellsworth Society was formed apart from the Sharon and Kent Townships. Rolling hills, open pastures, original structures, and thick woods are aspects of rural Ellsworth which existed then and have continued to the present.
Ellsworth Hill Orchard and Berry Farm is keeping the history of the farm going, and is proud to open the Orchard to those who would like to roam the strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, pumpkin and apple fields and view the beauty of the land that still stands the same way centuries later.
We offer a large variety of apples that will please the most diverse apple lover. Just a sample of what we offer are Honey Crisp, Gala, Macintosh, Gold Delicious, Macoun, Cortland, Northern Spy, Empire and Red Delicious. Besides the delicious apples, we also grow strawberries, cherries, raspberries, blueberries, plums, peaches, pears, figs, pumpkins and gourds - come and pick your own or purchase pre-picked. Additionally, you'll find a variety of vegetables at our farm stand. Our apple cider is pressed on site!
We also have a Large Corn Maze activity that is fun and educational for children as well as adults. Group,School, and Party Hay Ride Tours are Welcome, on weekends or during the week. Call Ahead to make an appointment.
Please follow our signs to the Farm and red arrows to Tichnor Road. The Farm is located at 461 Cornwall Bridge Rd. Rte.4 Sharon Ct. 06069. Our hours will be from 8:00-5:30.Open 7 days a week.

Kindermusik at Music by the Sea Studios is now offering classes in Old Saybrook at Corner Music, Branford at Blend for Kids, and at Christ Episcopal Church on the Guilford Green and Temple Beth Tikvah in Madison . Age appropriate classes are 45 minutes long and serve families with children ages birth to 7 years. Summer Semesters run for 5 weeks and enrollment is open.
Kindermusik is music and movement program for children ages newborn to seven. Our programs include music, singing, instrument play, signing, movement/dance, socialization and more. Each class utilizes a carefully developed curriculum that follows the National Association for the Education of the Young Child (NAEYC) guidelines. All classes are age and developmentally appropriate focusing on the process of a child’s learning rather than their performance. Our programs are inclusive of the parents as we find that parents are the most influential teachers a child has. All of our programs include At Home Materials so that the parent(s) and child(ren) can continue their class experiences at home.
As a parent of a child with Asperger's Syndrome, I understand that frequently parents with special children often feel as though there are not enough places or activities where they can go with all their children. While I do not have training in working with special families, I am fully willing to accommodate any special need any way I can. Since my program is a parent and child program, I have the ability to adapt my program to any disability as long as the parent is able to interact with their child as other parents do in our programs.
I currently run the "Family Time" program, which allows parents of multiple ages to bring their children to one place for one class instead of running between multiple classes. This would benefit families that may have only one special needs child but would like to interact with their other children in the same group setting. The curriculum for this program is written to be developmentally appropriate for children from age newborn to seven so it would be accommodating for most children with mental or physical disabilities. That is not to say that it would be without its challenges but if a parent is willing to help guide me, I certainly am willing to work their needs into my program.
My program serves Norwich, Baltic, Griswold and the surrounding communities. Baltic classes are held at the Sprague Community Center, 22 W. Main Street, Baltic. Norwich Classes are held at the Norwich Rec. Dept., 75 Mohegan Rd, Norwich. Griswold Classes are held at Old Pachaug Town Hall, 879 Old Voluntown Rd, Jewett City/
