I established the Task Force July 8, 2004 and charged it with reviewing and recommending improvements to the procedures used by the state of Connecticut to purchase goods and services. The Task Force will report its findings and recommendations to me by September 1, 2004.

I have full confidence that the Task Force will recommend meaningful and practical reforms that will restore confidence in the state contracting process.
