The staff of the Office of State Ethics continues to work to provide useful resources to all of those covered by the Ethics Codes.  For the election season, the agency has produced two new handouts regarding political contributions and political conventions.

Thanks to the professional work and generosity of the Department of Transportation's Research team, we have taped a new, comprehensive training on the Code of Ethics for Public Officials and State Employees, which will be available via Web-streaming video and on DVD free of charge this month.

A subcommittee of the Citizen's Ethics Advisory Board is reviewing proposed regulations and we will discuss those regulations at the August 28 public meeting.  Please remember that your presence is always welcome at our monthly Board meetings - we look forward to communicating with you about the above initiatives as well as anything else that is on your mind.

On behalf of the Board members and staff, I would like to thank outgoing Board member, Enid Oresman, for her dedicated service and many contributions to the Office of State Ethics.  Her presence will be missed.

Finally, remember to mark your calendars for Ethics Day on September 26, 2008.  Conference information will appear in this spot next month.
