Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection
DEP administers environmental programs that protect human health and the environment. DEP's commitment to integrating cleanups with redevelopment promotes responsible growth and improves the quality of life for all of Connecticut's citizens. DOT is Connecticut’s transportation agency and manages its roadway, public transit, airports and ports infrastructure. DOT’s expertise is crucial in implementing the state’s transit oriented development (TOD) initiatives. Connecticut Department of Agriculture
Agriculture is a $2B state industry. Open space and active agricultural land is a key ingredient to the state’s responsible growth strategies. The state DOAG programs can assist communities balance development with its agricultural resources.
Environmental Protection Agency
The mission of the Environmental Protection Agency is to protect human health and the environment. EPA offers several brownfields programs.
Economic Development Administration
DECD coordinates economic development programs closely with our EDA partners in the Philadelphia office. ORD can bring EDA funding assistance to support public infrastructure and brownfield projects. Housing and Urban Development
HUD’s HOME, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Brownfields Economic Development Initiative (BEDI) programs are key financial programs to support housing and community development.
Connecticut’s eight Regional Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy Management Teams provide the regional prioritization and coordination of economic development projects; especially those eligible for EDA funding.
