The Connecticut Building on the Avenue of States at the Eastern States Exposition, the Big E, in West Springfield, Massachusetts opens its 74th year on September 13, 2013. Each year the Connecticut Building is host to 1 million visitors. The Connecticut Building exhibits the sights, sounds and tastes of Connecticut while promoting business, tourism, arts and agriculture throughout the state. This year the Big E will run from September 13th through September 29th. Connecticut Day, the single most popular weekday of the expo, is scheduled for Wednesday, September 18th.

A celebration of Connecticut that features entertainment, activities and special exhibits throughout the day. The Connecticut Day Parade will be held at 5:00 P.M. on the Avenue of States.
