The Connecticut Enterprise Zone Program, along with the various business incentive related subprograms, are administered within the Office of Business & Industry Development of the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD). The Enterprise Zone Program is the core program on which many other business related incentive programs are based. Program staff provides guidance to DECD business expansion, retention and recruitment teams as well as municipal officials who coordinate the program application process at the local level. The application review, and the business incentive approval and certification process, are coordinated at the DECD central office in Hartford. Benefits may include:
Programs: Program eligibility and benefit levels vary depending on program type and the location of the certified project. Details are available in the Enterprise Zone Guide. Programs include: Programs available in Targeted Investment Communities (Municipalities with a designated Enterprise Zone).
Program available in Northeast Connecticut along I-395, and in the upper and lower Naugatuck Valley along Route 8. Newly legislated programs which are municipality specific.
