Greetings from Joan McDonald, Commissioner     Welcome to the Department of Economic and Community Development’s new Web site.  As Connecticut’s lead agency for economic development and responsible growth, DECD has a broad and diverse mandate, one that necessitates a comprehensive Web site that catalogs all we have to offer businesses, developers, municipalities, and many others. In our ongoing effort to make this site more customer friendly, we know you need to find information about our programs quickly and easily.

Now, with DECD’s new look and easy to use navigation features, this one-stop resource will connect people to essential information faster than ever before. The site offers users up-to-date information on DECD’s many programs and services, performance measures, research reports and publications, and success stories — all a click or two away.   And our many partners, including the Connecticut Development Authority, Connecticut Innovations, Small Business Innovation Research Office, and the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority, are easily accessed as well.
