Social Work Services Overview
The Department is divided into three service delivery areas within the state, with social workers on staff in 12 regional offices and a Central Office that provide direct social work services to eligible State citizens.

 

Direct Service Social Work Programs

· Conservator of Person             
· Conservator of Estate               
· Family Social Work Services
· Family Support Grant
· Security Deposit Guarantee Program
· Individual Services
· Long Term Care Investigations
· Personal Care Assistance Waiver
· Protective Services for the Elderly

Social Work Services also has the responsibility for administering grants and contracts programs through vendored services. See Community Services Division.

The Connecticut Council for Persons With Disabilities advises the Department as it carries out it’s role as the lead agency for services for people with disabilities, and as the coordinator of the delivery of such services by all state agencies (CGS Sec. 17b-606(b)).  For member recruitment information, follow this link.
