Welfare and other fraud is a serious problem and we pursue it aggressively. Fraud is not limited to recipients; sometimes companies that provide goods and services to DSS recipients, such as medical care, are tempted to overcharge or to bill for services not even provided. By reporting fraud, you may be helping to save the State significant dollars!

The Department of Social Services is strongly committed to identifying and eliminating fraud, whether it be by a client or a contractor or vendor who does business with the department.
