As announced by Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Connecticut was awarded $10,569,192 in Hurricane Sandy Social Services Block Grant (SSBG) Supplemental Funds, based on an allocation involving the number of people registering for Individual Assistance through the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The Department of Social Services is currently seeking applications from 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and municipalities to provide Disaster Relief Services to those households that have been directly affected by Hurricane Sandy and that meet stated eligibility criteria. Deadline for submitting applications is April 4, 2014, at 2 p.m.
