If you are required to pay taxes by EFT, you must initiate your transaction by 4:30 p.m. eastern time the banking day before the due date. This applies to ACH Debit or TSC-BUS users only. Therefore, in order to avoid penalty and interest changes, tax payments due on November 30, 2009, must be initiated by November 27, 2009.

ACH Credit method users should consult with their banking institution for guidelines to ensure that payment is received timely.
