You may make your payment through Official Payments Corporation by using your Visa, Discover, Master Card or American Express Card for your:

• 2008 state individual income tax (CT-1040, CT-1040EZ, CT TELEFILE or WebFile OR CT-1040 NR/PY balance due)
• Extension payment (CT-1040EXT)*
• Estimated payment (CT-1040ES)*

*When paying your estimated income tax or your state extension payment, you are not required to file a coupon or extension form.

A convenience fee of 2.49% of the total tax payment will be charged to your account by the credit card service provider.

To charge your Connecticut income tax payment to your credit card you may use one of the following methods:

• To file a return and pay the tax due by credit card, log onto your account on the TSC-IND, and complete the returnin the TSC as usual. When you are on the Payment Options page, choose "I will make payment using a Credit Card."  Follow the prompts and then click the link to go directly to the Official Payments website.  Remember, your payment will not be initiated until you schedule the payment on the Official Payments website. 

• Call Official Payments Corporation toll-free at 1-800-2PAY-TAX (1-800-272-9829) and follow the voice prompts. Follow the voice prompts to complete the transaction.
  • Press 2 to pay a State tax liability. 
  • Enter the Connecticut jurisdiction code 1777.

At the completion of the transaction you will be given a confirmation number for your records;

Your payment will be effective on the date you make the charge.
