DRS: DRS Launches New E-File On-Line Tutorial

DRS Launches New E-File On-Line Tutorial

For Immediate Release:
Friday, February 21, 2014

Hartford – Department Revenue Services (DRS) Commissioner Kevin B. Sullivan today announced that taxpayers will find a helpful video tutorial on the agency website.  The on-line tutorial guides taxpayers through the state’s required electronic filing requirements as expanded this year.

Said Commissioner Sullivan, “Taxpayers want to do the right thing and we need to do all we can to help them.  The on-line tutorial DRS used during the 2013 Tax Amnesty was a big hit.  We are confident that this is one of the best ways to provide more information to more taxpayers in a modern communications format.  It may seem like we are just now catching up with 21st century technology, because we are and we will be moving faster to get ahead of the curve.”

At the beginning of 2014, DRS required that the state’s primary business tax types file electronically through the agency’s Taxpayer Service Center (TSC) in order to simplify and expedite transactions for taxpayers.

The video can be found on the DRS website under TSC Tutorials or clicking on the graphic below.
