Curtis, and Housatonic Community College (HCC) President Anita Gliniecki, will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the $55 million additions and renovations at Housatonic Community College in Bridgeport on Oct. 7, 2008 (Tuesday) at 1:30 p.m. The event will take place in the College’s courtyard at the front of the newly renovated and expanded facility – formerly the Sears Building – now named Beacon Hall. |

| | Department of Public Works (DPW) manager Bruce Bockstael of Wethersfield has been named a recipient of the State of Connecticut’s 2008 Distinguished Managerial Service Award. The award is presented annually to recognize outstanding individuals for their achievements and contributions in Connecticut state managerial service. Mr. Bockstael is Chief Architect for the State DPW. |

| | State Department of Public Works (DPW) Commissioner Raeanne V. Curtis announced today that the State of Connecticut has finalized the terms of a purchase and sale agreement to acquire real property located at 59 Field Street in the City of Torrington for the planned relocation and expansion of the Litchfield County Courthouse. The purchase and sale agreement will become official upon the review and approval of the Judicial Branch, Office of Policy and Management, State Properties Review Board and the Office of the Attorney General.
