Dear Visitor: Welcome to the State of Connecticut Department of Public Works web site. We have recently updated our site to help us achieve our vision: to create a work environment for state agencies that supports and enhances accomplishment of their missions.  DPW is responsible for the planning, design and construction of nearly all major state facility capital projects, leasing and property acquisitions for most state agencies, facility management, maintenance and statewide security. Our newly designed web site emerged from discussions of how we can better meet the needs of our client state agencies and our partners in the consultant and contractor community.   This site has a new home page with expanded content and easier navigation. DPW services are delineated and important forms and publications are included for each service area, as well as contact information. Work opportunities for consultants, contractors, property managers and lessors are presented more clearly with electronic access to legal notices, RFPs and RFQs. New manuals and instructions have been technologically enhanced. Directories have been reformatted and updated. The newly formatted publications and forms sections serve as a single repository of important documents that are clearly identified and easily accessible.   We hope you find this site easy to use and responsive to your needs.  It reflects changes underway at DPW and while we have made significant strides, we view this as a work-in-progress.
