STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE ROBBERY IN NORTH STONINGTON 

   On 11-13-09 at approximately 1:25 am, the Connecticut State Police at Troop E, responded to a report of a robbery at the Xtra Mart Convenience Store, located at 226 Norwich Westerly Road, in North Stonington.  Investigation by responding troopers revealed that a suspect entered the store, with a note demanding cash.  There were no injuries and there was no weapon displayed.

   The suspect was described at a white male, approximately 5’4”, 170 lbs with short red hair, short red goatee style facial hair and freckles.  He was wearing a blue hat, grey and black hooded sweatshirt/ jacket and jeans.  The suspect fled  in an unknown direction.

   Anyone with any information is asked to call Troop E, in Montville, at 860-848-6500.
